Suresh Giragani

Dr. Suresh Giragani is a highly esteemed Interventional Radiologist based in Hyderabad, Telangana, with an extensive experience of 16 years in the field. He has demonstrated exceptional dedication to both patient care and medical education, serving as a program director for a structured fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology since 2016. Dr. Giragani has been instrumental in training numerous students through this fellowship, contributing significantly to the future of interventional radiology.

His commitment to advancing medical knowledge is further evidenced by his leadership in organizing the biennial international conference on stroke interventions, known as MASTER, held in Hyderabad during 2016 and 2019. Dr. Giragani's contributions to the field have also earned him several accolades, including the Best Paper Award at the Society of Emergency Radiology National Conference in 2018 for his work on post-transplant hepatic artery insufficiency imaging and intervention. Additionally, he secured the Best Oral Paper Award at the ISVIR National Conference the same year for his research on the endovascular management of small intracranial aneurysms.

Dr. Giragani has completed over 500 endovascular interventions for brain aneurysms and has treated more than 300 acute stroke patients with the mechanical thrombectomy procedure, making a significant impact in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, including carotid stenting, embolization for brain and spinal AVMs, and TIPSS for portal hypertension.

With a robust educational background, including MBBS from Osmania Medical College and DM in Neuroradiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr. Giragani has consistently ranked among the top in his field, achieving state and national recognition throughout his academic journey. He is fluent in Hindi, Telugu, and English, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population in Hyderabad.
